Quick Facts
- On Feb. 5, 2012, we unanimously (100%) voted to call Rev. Mike Taylor to serve as our full-time Senior Pastor. He had been serving as our Interim Pastor. In addition, the church staff includes a full-time minister of music/education and a part-time minister to youth.
- Flat Creek Baptist Church celebrated its 193rd anniversary this year. The church was founded in 1818 as a missionary church and a place of worship for the Cherokee Indians. We now have over 600 members and our worship attendance on a typical Sunday is approximately 200. The congregation includes people of all ages and backgrounds. Click here to view our facilities.
- The church offers many different programs that are open to the community. These include Vacation Bible School, Around the World in 80 Days (children's summer program), Children's Church, Word of Life Olympians & Gopher Buddies, Youth MFuge Camp, Tender Loving People (senior adult ministry), Mission Trip opportunities, and much more.
- We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the Georgia Baptist Convention (GBC), and the Chattahoochee Baptist Association (CBA).
- We have one Sunday morning worship service at 11:00 a.m. where the format is blended music, including contemporary praise songs as well as traditional hymns. We also have a contemporary evening worship at 5:00 p.m.
