What to Expect:
A friendly environment that encourages children to interact
Learning/Memorizing God's word
We began our AWANA children’s ministry in 2013 and it continues to grow and train children in our church and community. What does AWANA stand for…
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
It is taken from the scripture verse 2 Timothy 2:15 which says…
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Because kids matter to God - kids matter to us and we have found that AWANA provides a special place for preschoolers and children to make new friends, sing about God’s love, learn and memorize God’s Word, play exciting games, and earn prizes for their attendance, cooperation and effort.
What to Expect:
We have a team of volunteers that lead our children's church every Sunday morning. The children will enjoy a short time of fun Godly Songs followed by a lesson from Scripture presented in the form of "story time"and then everyone participates in making a craft that represents what the lesson was about. Our team of volunteers love spending time with our children but more importantly enjoy sharing Jesus with them and watching them grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Fun, Godly songs
"Story Time" Scripture lessons
Fun crafts related to the lesson!
Our children also have the opportunity to participate in Children's Choir! We have rehearsals every Wednesday as a part of our Awana program. The children will sing periodically on Sundays during the morning service time as a special treat, in addition to putting on a full Spring Musical every year. They will also be involved in Christmas music every year. It is a real joy to see our Children's choirs in worship!
